Before submitting an ICCID for activation or a SIM replacement, make sure it belongs to the line you intend to use. A number can pass a mathematical check and still be the wrong SIM for your request.
Use the installed SIM's details, its original packaging, or the record in your carrier account. Look specifically for ICCID or SIM serial number. An IMEI, EID, phone number, PIN, or PUK is not a substitute.
For a physical SIM, compare the printed digits with the device display when available. For an eSIM, check the selected plan rather than the phone's hardware identifier. If the number is unavailable, ask the carrier instead of guessing it.
The Android instructions explain device-dependent menus and alternatives when the ICCID field is missing.
With two SIMs or several eSIM profiles, a copied number may be valid but belong to another line. Match the selected SIM or plan with your carrier account before proceeding. A label you named yourself, such as โTravel,โ is not proof of which account it belongs to.
If you recently replaced a SIM, avoid reusing the old card's identifier. Keep the replacement record alongside the activation instructions until the new service works.
Our checker accepts 19 or 20 digits and reports format, Luhn checksum, and issuer matching separately. Passing these checks does not prove that the number is assigned or that the line is active. An unknown issuer can mean our database has no matching entry.
Record the exact error, phone model, selected SIM or eSIM plan, and whether this is a new activation or a replacement. Contact the carrier through its official account or support channel. Share the full ICCID only when it is needed in that private support process.
Do not generate a replacement identifier or change the last digit to make validation pass. A generator cannot issue a SIM or update your carrier account. Carrier support must confirm activation eligibility and provisioning.
A public lookup cannot determine the subscriber's name, mobile number, balance, or current location. Keep those requests within your authenticated carrier account, and redact full SIM identifiers from public screenshots.
